Fish Creek Community Forest partially re-opens

The trails directly behind Northern Lights College (Silviculture and Anatomy trails) are open, but the Multi-Purpose Trail that runs along the golf course remains closed.
City receives $4.2 million to reduce flood risks

Through the Provincial Government's Community Emergency Preparedness Fund, administered by the Union of BC Municipalities, we will receive $4.2 million to better prepare for disasters and reduce risks from hazards in a changing climate.
Fish Creek Wildfire Update

While the official investigation into the cause of the fire remains ongoing and may take some time to conclude, preliminary findings indicate that the fire is considered non-suspicious and not deliberately set.
Community Forest remains closed until further notice

Caution tape and signs will remain up at trail entrances to the forest until it is safe for the public to use the trails again. Security staff will also be patrolling the area to ensure people are respecting the closure.
Winds may increase Fish Creek fire activity today

Crews continue to work on containing the fire perimeter and hotspots today. Fire breaks east of the Community Forest are being cleared without the aid of machinery due to the challenging steep terrain.
