City of Fort St. John Receives Funding to Support Local Housing Initiative

The City of Fort St. John has received $294,500 from the Northern Healthy Communities Fund (NHCF) to support the Fort St. John Housing Solutions Initiative. This project will help address local housing challenges by developing a Housing First model that fits the community's needs and supports people who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their housing.
City and XJ Evergreen Estates Corp. Announce Proposed Location for New Aquatics Facility

The City of Fort St. John has signed a Letter of Intent with XJ Evergreen Estates Corp. to explore a proposed location for the new aquatics facility in the Parkwood Southlands development. This follows years of planning and public input and marks an important step in moving the project forward.
City Reflects on 2025 UBCM Convention Successes

Last week, several City of Fort St. John Council Members and staff attended the 2025 Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) Annual Convention to ensure a strengthened voice in provincial advocacy. Held annually, the UBCM Convention brings together elected officials and staff from municipalities across British Columbia to collaborate, vote on resolutions, and meet directly with provincial ministers.
