A Special Occasion Licence allows the host to serve or sell liquor at an event in accordance with the BC Liquor Control and Licensing Act.
To begin the process, you must complete the Special Occasion Licence Application [PDF/244KB], which permits the host to serve or sell liquor at an event in a City facility or park in accordance with the Council Policy No. 128/15 - Special Occasion Licence Policy [PDF/361KB]. Event hosts are considered liquor permittees and are responsible for the safety of their guests. We recommend applying well in advance of your event.
