The Youth Commission member serves as the voice of local youth on the North Peace Leisure Pool Commission, helping influence decisions about pool programming, facility improvements, youth events, and more. They also promote pool safety, wellness, and work closely with aquatics staff to ensure the pool continues to meet the needs of young people in our community.

Who Should Apply:
We’re looking for responsible, enthusiastic youth aged 13–18 who attend school within School District 60. If you're passionate about recreation, wellness, leadership, or civic engagement, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Term Details:
- One-year term: October 2025 – August 2026 (Follows the school calendar year)
- Non-voting member of the NPLP Commission
- Monthly mentorship meetings with staff to develop goals and receive support
- Quarterly Youth Report provided to the Commission
- Recommended attendance at Commission meetings (typically held during school hours):
- October 7, 2025 (10–11 AM)
- December 2, 2025 (10–11 AM)
- February 2026
- April 2026
- June 2026
The Youth Commissioner will also help connect peers with lifeguarding and fitness opportunities and help inspire new, age-appropriate programming at the pool. In recognition of your time and contribution, successful applicants will be provided with an annual pool pass for the term.
