Celebrate International Museum Day (May 18) a day early (Saturday, May 17) with free admission to the Fort St. John North Peace Museum.

Come see our new interactive travelling exhibit on avalanches and learn about their power to shape landscapes and human history. Measure your height to an avalanche. Learn how avalanches are triggered and what methods are used to prevent avalanches. Our historic buildings are also open for the season. Explore early homes, a chapel, a trapper's cabin, and a police barracks and jail.

Support the North Peace Historical Society (the non-profit that owns and operates the museum) with a purchase in the museum gift shop. We have over 500 books to choose from as well as toys, stuffed animals, clothing, Indigenous gifts, jewellery, and souvenirs.
