Join the Fort St. John North Peace Museum for the BRAND-NEW guided tour of the Cecil Lake cemetery. Learn about some of the homesteaders, nurses, trappers, store keepers, and others who made this community home such as Nurse Vi Woodward and writer Slim Byrnes. Tour is $10 at the gate. This is not a scary tour, but one that shares stories of these people’s lives while standing by their graves. Carpooling is encouraged where possible as parking by the cemetery is limited. The parking lot is just before the cemetery when travelling from Fort St. John through Cecil Lake. The cemetery is just past the community on the right side of the road.

The Nor’ Pioneers Women’s Institute will host a tea to follow at the Cecil Lake Community Hall (4864 Cecil Lake Road) around 3:30 p.m. St. Matthias Anglican Church in Cecil Lake will also be open for tours immediately following the cemetery tour. All three sites are within two miles of each other on the Cecil Lake Road with the cemetery being the furthest away from Fort St. John.
