Alene Peck (nēe Darnall) arrived in the North Peace with her homesteading parents in 1928. For close to 90 years she found herself integrally bound to the development of the area. Her eldest son, Ross Peck, fell heir to her rich collection of photos, notes, and memorabilia, and has compiled a glimpse into the life of a true Northern pioneer.
Ross will be launching his recently published work entitled keeping the Books: The Life and Times of a Peace River Homesteader's Daughter. Copies will be available and we invite you to join us as Ross shares photos and stories from the book.
