Canada Day Celebrations

It’s that time of year! Let’s come together to celebrate our home and native land in true Fort St. John style.

The festivities kick off early on the evening of June 30 with movies in the park, market, and food trucks, ending with a spectacular drone show—a high-flying display you won’t want to miss as we light up the sky to start the celebrations!

On July 1, start your day with a delicious pancake breakfast at the Fire Hall, then grab a spot along 100 Street for the annual parade. Afterward, head over to Centennial Park for kids zone, food trucks, live music, and so much more.

Parade Floats

Celebrate this great nation and show off your national pride by decorating a float for the parade!

Parade participants will be required to gather at 10 am on July 1. The marshalling takes place at 100 Street between 111 Avenue and 107 Avenue. At 11 am, the procession will travel South on 100 Street and end of the Parade on 100 Street and 96 Avenue, turn into the empty parking lot (where the old Fort Motors was) and de-marshal via that area onto 102 Street.

The parade's success depends entirely on volunteer participation! If your business or organization is interested in entering a float, submit your registration no later than June 22, 2026 at 4:30pm.
