Home Owner Grant must be applied through the Provincial Government:
visit gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant or call 1-888-355-2700
The tax rates are passed by Council in April every year when assessment figures are complete and requisitions from other authorities are received.
Please note that it’s your responsibility as the property owner to contact us if you don’t receive your property tax notice in early June. Property Tax payments are due July 4, 2022.
Understanding your Property Tax notice
In addition to General Municipal Taxes, your Property Tax notice includes taxes that the City of Fort St. John collects on behalf of several other agencies, the City does not have control over the tax rates set by those agencies. Find out more about these agencies on their websites:
