Notice of Intent - North Peace Community Foundation

In accordance with Section 24 of the Community Charter, public notice is given that the City of Fort St. John intends to enter into a partnering agreement with the North Peace Community Foundation. 
This proposed agreement is intended to replace a previous agreement that has expired and to continue the existing arrangement under which the City’s Grant-in-Aid Program has operated for the past several years. 
Through this agreement, the City will provide annual grant funding to the Foundation, enabling the Foundation to administer and distribute the City’s Grants-in-Aid Program to eligible non-profit organizations that provide services and benefits to the community. The grants will be administered in accordance with City-approved guidelines and will include reporting and accountability as set out in the agreement. 
The maximum amount of municipal assistance that may be provided under the agreement shall not exceed $500,000 per year, subject to annual budget approval by City Council.
The proposed partnering agreement will have a term of three (3) years, commencing April 15, 2026, and does not include an automatic renewal.
