Ice Slides

Due to the Provincial and Regional Health Orders, the Ice Slides will not be included in the 2022 Winter Festival.

Ice Slides

The ice slides are the highlight of the High on Ice Winter Festival and are located in heart of Centennial Park during the weekend! Constructed by the carvers, these super fun slides are exactly what they sound like - they are slides made out of ice. There is no excuse to go for a rip - the Ice Slides are free for the public to use all weekend!

Please remember the following rules when enjoying the ice slides:

  • STAY OFF THE SLIDES UNTIL THEY ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN
  • Parental supervision is required for all children on the ice slides
  • Ice Slides are subject to be closed if City staff deems them unsafe
  • Use the proper entrance to the ice slides (do not climb up the slides, up the back of the snow pile, or between the slides)
  • Ensure your children are patient and wait their turn to use the ice slides
  • Crazy carpets and other sleds are not permitted on the ice slides
  • Dress appropriately for the ice slides (snow pants preferred)
  • Small children are encouraged to wear helmets
  • Stay out of Centennial Park and off the slides prior to the festival as there will be machinery and power tools on site
