Pancake Breakfast at the Fire Hall The Fire Department is welcoming everyone back to their location at the Fire Hall to enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast on July 1 from 8:30am-10:30am. Activities in Centennial Park

At 11am Northern Winds Community Band and School District 60 Band Students will be on the mainstage to delight us with their musical talents.
At 12pm (noon) join us for the Canada Day Celebration Opening Ceremonies, singing of O' Canada, and Doig River Drummers on the main stage.
The 2023 Main Stage is sponsored by Driving Force!
Located in the Festival Plaza, the Farmers' Market will have their artisans, farmers, hand-makers on-site all Canada Day selling their amazing products.
Alice’s Garden Scavenger Hunt
Side A: This space is for parents who need a quick reprieve from the sun to feed and change their babies. We will have a small sitting area, changing area, and wipes onsite. No diapers, or baby food provided. Baby’s Best Chance volunteers will be onsite ensuring the area is clean, and comfy on one side of our parent’s tent. This space will be shared with the Sensory Tent.
Side B: In an effort to provide a space for neurodivergent people, one side of the Parent’s Tent will have a quiet space for anyone who needs a short reprieve from the busyness that comes with large events. There will be sensory toys, a child’s black out tent, sound reducing ear muffs, some foam blocks, weighted lap pads and various other materials to help support anyone who may become dysregulated an opportunity to regulate and rejoin in the festivities. Parents/Guardians and Support Workers are to remain with anyone who is dysregulated. A volunteer will be onsite to ensure products are sanitized and shared after each use.
Join Evangel Chapel volunteers as they bounce away the day on various inflatable bouncers! Reminder: socks are required on all bouncers.
There will 2 stages, the mainstage is located in the centre of Centennial Park and will host musical acts, members of SUCCESS BC micro interviews, and our favourite community emcee, Ted Sloan! The second stage produced by Bruised Orange Productions is located at the Festival Plaza Performance Oval. Check out our showcase of local and visiting musical acts [PDF - 4 MB].

The kids zone will be located close to the accessible playground and will feature City of Fort St John staff playing carnival games, The Girl Guides of Canada providing face painting, free Henna tattoos with Designs by Shahab and The Fort St John Public Library providing mini golf! All of these activities are free to play!
Visit the food vendors located in the North Peace Leisure Pool parking lot for yummy and delicious food!
Additional Fun Throughout the park a variety of groups and organizations will be supporting this event. Some of these tents will include, the City of Fort St John Information Tent and a City Public Engagement Tent, ConocoPhillips sweet treat tent, local radio stations, SUCCESS BC, and more!

Canada Day Fitness CrossFit Exhale invites you to honour Canadian first responders who have passed with a challenging class workout, scalable for all ages and fitness levels. To register for the class text Bobbie at 778-256-7413. This open house includes refreshments and games.
Bubble Ball Activity 5-8pm • WI Centennial Park (106 St and 110 Ave) Peace Region Badminton & Recreation Club invites children, teens, and adults to attend WI Centennial Park for a fun Bubble Ball activity.
Real Fruit Slush Drink Eateteria invites you to the Fort St. John Curling Club for a tasty real fruit slush drink made with honey. First come, first served - while supplies last.
Music and Hotdogs for Seniors Fort St. John & Area Seniors Care Foundation invites seniors 65+ and older to attend a special event with free live music, food and prizes (while supplies last). It takes place at the gazebo at the North Peace Seniors Housing Society. Please note: there is limited space available.
Escape Room 4-8pm • 10401 95 Ave Amazing Escapes invites you to visit for a free escape room experience! Book online at www.amazing-escapes.ca or stop to their location during business hours to book in person. First come, first served. All participants must complete a waiver form.
Family Fun & Games Visit Subway to play Plinko, 4-in-a-row, and bean bag toss. Small prizes will be given out and a free Subway cookie, while supplies last. |
