It's time to get involved in the planning for Canada Day. This event sees upwards of 7,000+ participants in Centennial Park and is a great opportunity to showcase your organization by signing up as a vendor, creating a float for the parade, or signing up as a sponsor!

Micro-grant applications

Is your business or non-profit interested in hosting a family friendlty activity for Canada Day? Approved activities will be eligible for a $500-$2000 grant. Learn more and apply online here.

The City of Fort St. John is extending an invitation to local organization and businesses to participate in the 2024 Canada Day Parade on Monday, July 1. Celebrate this great nation and show off your national pride by decorating a float for the parade! Sign up here!

Sponsorship opportunities

Canada Day Celebrations are made possible with the support of many companies and organizations. To host this large event we require a variety of supplies and services including: signage, barricades, tents, port-a-potties, traffic control, and other equipment. Schedule of events

8:30-10:30am | Pancake Breakfast at the Fire Hall

The Fire Department is welcoming everyone back to their location at the Fire Hall to enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast. This breakfast is by donation and on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

11am | Parade

Check-out the Fort St. John Canada Day Parade with the many businesses and organizations that are showing off their wonderfully decorated floats. Remember to follow the directions of posted signs, traffic control, and staff. The Parade starts at 11am travelling down 98 Street, then moves over to 100 Street using 102 Avenue.

11am – 4pm | Centennial Park Activities

  • FSJ Classic Cruisers Car Show and Shine
  • Music at the Centennial Park Stage
  • Kids Zone: Mini Golf, Face Painting, Balloon Animals
  • Food Vendors
  • Farmer’s Market
  • Bouncy Castles
