Project Description
To protect the City’s sanitary infrastructure, the treated sewage effluent pipe that discharges to the Peace River needs to be defended from further erosion due to stormwater flow in Bouffioux Creek. This will be achieved by removing existing gabion basket armouring and replacing it with upgraded armouring along the existing bank. Permitting and design will occur in 2025, followed by construction in 2026.
This project will be fully funded by the BC Community Emergency Preparedness Fund, Disaster Risk Reduction – Climate Adaptation Fund, BC Ministry of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness.
