City Council will be considering adopting Council Procedure Amendment Bylaw No. 2626, 2025 at the December 8, 2025 Regular Council meeting.
The proposed amendment bylaw includes the following changes to the Council Procedure Bylaw:
Order of Proceedings for a Regular Council meeting:
- Adding an opportunity for members of the public to pose questions to Council near the end of the meeting.
- Renaming the section titled “Reports from Mayor and Council on Meetings and Liaison Responsibilities” to “Reports by Mayor and Council”, and relocating this section to later in the meeting.
Additional Procedural Revisions:
- Adding expectations and clarifying procedures for “Questions from the Media and Public” and “Reports by Mayor and Council”.
