Just after 1:20 pm on Friday, April 18, 2025, the Fort St. John Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 9800 block of 103 Avenue.
Upon arrival, crews observed that a vehicle had driven through one of the units, and fire had spread to the remaining units. Due to the quick fire spread, the 14-unit building was deemed a total loss, and crews moved to a defensive position to prevent further spread.
In total, 25 firefighters attended the incident, including mutual aid partners from the Charlie Lake Fire Department and the Taylor Fire Department.
The fire was deemed suspicious and handed over to the Fort St. John RCMP for investigation.
