Changes to your Business Licence

Under the City of Fort St. John Business Licence Bylaw [PDF - 302 KB], certain changes to your business require that you notify the City. 

My business is moving:

If your business is moving to a new location within the City of Fort St. John, you must submit a new business licence application to the City by contacting the Planning & Engineering Department.. Please visit the Types of Business Licences page to determine which application form you need. 

My mailing address has changed:

If your business mailing address has changed, you must notify the City in writing by contacting the Planning & Engineering Department. 

My business name has changed:

If your business name has changed, you must notify the City in writing by contacting the Planning & Engineering Department and submitting a copy of the Certificate of Name Change. 

My business is closing:

If your business is closing, you must notify the City in writing by contacting the Planning & Engineering Department. This notice must be in the form of a letter and must state the date of closure and be signed by the business owner.
