Indoor Play Structure

Start Date: Fall 2018

End Date: Spring 2019

Project Status:

Completed

Category: Facilities, Buildings & Parks

Budget: $65,000

Project Description:

The Pomeroy Sport Centre is a busy place during the winter season for kids. Many families seem to live at the rink while siblings each take their turn on the ice. Recreation Staff have begun to diversify and utilize the open spaces around the rinks to accommodate a greater interest base than just the sport of hockey. Over the past two years, ping pong tables, a mini basketball court, and toddler wall games have been added to capitalize on existing space. City of Fort St. John staff would like to expand available activities by installing a small play structure for kids to play on and burn off energy when they are in the building.
