Preparations begin for the High on Ice Winter Festival

February 1, 2022

The 2022 High on Ice Winter Fest is rapidly approaching. Based out of Centennial Park, the event runs throughout the Family Day long weekend from February 18 - 21.

Due to active machinery working around the park and North Peace Leisure Pool, the facility’s 100 Street access will be closed beginning February 2 and will reopen on February 22. Use the entrance on 96 Avenue to park at the North Peace Leisure Pool or park behind the Curling Club and Pomeroy Sport Centre.

As the City prepares for the event, it is requested that the public stays out of Centennial Park during event preparations. There should be no pedestrian access near the ice carvers as it is an active construction site.

The ice sculptures will be available to view through a drive-thru format starting at 4 pm on Friday, February 18.
