Fort St. John RCMP move into new Detachment

With the recent completion of the new RCMP Detachment, the Fort St. John RCMP will be operational in their new home at 10712 – 100 Street, effective Thursday, August 31, 2023.
Due to the move, front counter service will be disrupted between 12 noon and 4 pm on Wednesday, August 30. During this time, non-emergency telephone support remains available by calling 250-787-8100; for emergencies, dial 9-1-1.
The new RCMP Detachment replaces the over 35-year-old previous detachment with a modern, net-zero building featuring mass timber construction and a 145 kW photovoltaic system. Compared to a traditional build, it is estimated that the building will consume over 80 percent less energy, resulting in a savings of over $60,000 annually.
Details regarding a grand opening will be announced in the near future.
