Adult Drop in Hockey

MEND – Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, Do it!
Date: April 3, 2017 to June 19, 2017 (excluding April 17 & May 22)
Time: Mondays at 5:00pm – 6:45pm
Location: Child Development Centre (10417 106 Ave, Fort St. John BC, V1J 2M8 )
Ages: 5-7 years (Parent participation required)
Cost: Free

MEND is a 10 week, family based program designed to help children and their families get fit and healthy together. The 1.45 hour sessions will include an educational component and an activity. By increasing physical activity levels, knowledge of nutrition, the goal of mend is to build self-esteem as well as safe, effective and long-lasting healthy lifestyles.

During the program, families learn all aspects of nutrition including: making healthier food choices, reading food labels, understanding fats and sugars, telling the difference between unrefined and refined foods, and how to prepare a healthy balanced meal.  Above all, families learn how to have fun and make good choices together. Tumble Time

Time: 9:45 - 12:45 pm
Location: Kids Arena Field House - Pitch
Cost: $5 per child (adults free)
Registration: Punch pass required. Purchase your pass at the Visitor Centre or North Peace Leisure Pool.
Ages: 5 and Under (all children must be supervised by adult)

Bring your family to the Kids Arena Field House for some Active Play! Crawl through tunnels, play with sports gear, and jump on the bouncy castles. Tumble Time has something for everyone! This is a drop in, first come-first serve program. There are limited spaces available so get there early to get on the pitch. Parents must supervise their children.

Bouncing Beans
Dates: Sundays
Time: 1:30 – 3:30 pm
Location: Kids Arena Field House - Pitch
Cost: $5 per child (adults free)

Yogi Up Fitness

Short on time? Come on your lunch hour and squeeze in a yoga fitness session that will leave you re-energized to finish your day. Please remember to bring your water bottle. Mats, blocks, and straps available for no cost. Space is limited so register soon!

 

Drop-in Pickleball
Date: Every Tuesday
Time: 7:00-9:00pm

Cost: Drop-in rates apply
Registration: Drop in and pay at the North Peace Leisure Pool or Fort St. John Visitor Centre or save by purchasing a dry floor sports pass/Economy Pass. Purchase these passes at the Visitor Centre or North Peace Leisure Pool.

Haven’t tried Pickleball yet? Now’s your chance! Pickleball is basically a mix between tennis and ping pong. The game is played on a small court with a partner and players rally the ball over a low net. Get active and try this few, fun activity! Balls and paddles available free of cost!

Pro-D Day Camp

Ages: 5-10 (must be enrolled in Kindergarten)

No school? No problem! The City of Fort St. John will be hosting Pro-D camps at the Pomeroy Sport Centre. Keep your child busy with a day filled with pitch activities, skating, swimming, games, crafts, movies, and more! Meet new friends, try new activities, and kick off the weekend with non-stop fun! 

Country Dance Lessons

Fort St. John loves country dancing! Haven't tried our lessons yet? Get your dancing shoes on join instructor Diana Foster to learn everything from the two-step, polka, waltz, and more! This six week lesson set will have you cuttin’ a rug in no time! No experience required - all skills and abilities welcome.
