About the Festival

The High on Ice Winter Festival is Fort St. John's signature Winter event! The festival features a variety of winter-themed events including professional ice carving and ice slides in Centennial Park. This year's festival takes place February 18 - 21, 2022 with the theme of "Spirits from Within."

Become an Event Partner

The High on Ice Winer Festival is organized by a planning committee made up of various community members who represent different non-profit organizations. The vast majority of this group is made up of volunteers who are the driving force behind the community events that take place over the weekend. High on Ice is possible because of these people and their desire to celebrate life in the North.

We welcome any and all organizations (sport teams, charitable organizations, clubs, and more) to coordinate a sub-event as part of the festival. Even if it's an hour or two we are happy to include new activities in the weekend program - we even help cover the costs!
