City and Cultural Society sign MOU

The Council of the City of Fort St. John and the Board of the North Peace Cultural Society have issued the following joint statement:
“Following the mediation process that began last year, the City of Fort St. John and the North Peace Cultural Society worked collaboratively to develop a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that ensures this partnership contributes to the development of the cultural richness of our community. The MOU, signed on August 17, 2022, provides the framework and guidance for both parties to deliver arts and cultural services in the community, both collaboratively and autonomously, and ensures the relationship continues based on mutual trust and respect. Further, this MOU provides the framework for the Cultural Services Agreement and North Peace Cultural Centre Lease, which is being finalized.”
