City and Arts Council launch Design Competition

November 1, 2022

The City of Fort St. John and the Fort St. John Arts Council invite all artists in the Peace River Regional District to submit artwork for this year’s High on Ice Winter Fest’s Half-Pike Tuberz®. This promotional item is shared with carving artists, staff, volunteers, and community members.

The City of Fort St. John High on Ice Winter Fest runs February 17 – 20, 2023, with the theme “Explore the Folklore” – a winter storytelling adventure. The traditions, stories, myths, creatures of the past, and our diverse and rich culture that connect us as a community are infused in this theme.

“We are excited to include the designs of our local artists to celebrate this year’s High on Ice Winter Fest. Further, we would like to thank the Fort St. John Arts Council for their assistance with this initiative,” stated Eryn Griffith, Arts and Culture Manager for the City of Fort St. John.

Artists can submit entries until November 30, 2022, at 4 pm. For further details, visit www.fortstjohn.ca/ice.
