New RCMP Detachment Integrated Design Team Hosting Trade Meet and Greet

June 3, 2019

The City of Fort St. John is pleased to announce an opportunity for interested local trades, carpenters, safety personnel, and labourers to meet with the new RCMP Facility “Integrated Design Team” on June 5, 2019.  This team has been busy over the past months identifying the remainder of the design team members, consisting of mechanical, electrical and structural engineers, as well as primary trades in electrical and mechanical disciplines. This represents a significant milestone for the project, and an announcement of successful firms will be released in the coming weeks.

The meeting provides an opportunity for local tradespersons and site personnel to meet the Integrated Design team, consisting of Unitech Construction Management, KMBR Architects, and City representatives. Although the primary trades have been identified, there will be various scopes of work associated with the project, which may provide opportunities for local sub-trades and personnel to get involved.

A short list of potential sub-trades would include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Excavation and Site Preparation
  • Cast in Place Concrete
  • Concrete Masonry
  • Structural Steel
  • Cabinetry / Millwork
  • Roofing
  • Glazing
  • Steel Stud and Drywall
  • Acoustic Ceilings
  • Flooring
  • Painting
  • Civil Works
  • Landscaping

The project team looks forward to meeting with local trades and personnel to determine what areas of the project you are able to participate in, along with an opportunity to obtain pertinent information about your firm or you personally.  Please drop by between 2 and 4:30 pm in City Hall Council Chambers to meet our team.
