Original Cemetery Tour (Fort St. John Cemetery on 100 Ave)
Did you know that the Fort St. John Cemetery is home to an American Civil War Veteran, FSJ’s first Muslim storekeeper, a Hudson’s Bay Company clerk, and a member of the Order of Canada? Hear interesting stories about Fort St. John’s past and how our main cemetery came to take the layout it has today. Learn about cemetery mysteries such as the groundskeeper who ran away with the cemetery map!
The Fort St. John North Peace Museum developed this tour. We share stories (humorous, informative, and sometimes sad) about these people and the history of our community while standing by their graves. This is not a ghost tour! For more information call the museum at 250-787-0430.
Tour is $10/person and can be paid at the cemetery prior to the tour.
