The Kids Arena was formerly a hockey arena that was repurposed into an indoor soccer pitch in 2010. Since then the facility was equipped with artificial turf until a sprinkler failure caused damage to the surface of the turf in December, 2019. The artificial turf has also reached its lifespan of 10 years and it has since been removed. The facility currently has a polished concrete floor.
The building is used for a variety of recreational and sporting activities including (but not limited to): soccer, futsal, rugby, ultimate frisbee, lacrosse, cricket, dodgeball, physical education school classes, birthday parties, and children’s programs. It should be noted that inflatable bouncy castles are placed on the surface up to six times per week.
