Standard First Aid


Participants will use hands-on training and practice to learn the first aid skills necessary to respond with confidence in an emergency. This comprehensive Standard First Aid course covers all the information in the emergency first aid program and more.

Participants will be provided with the training they need to deal with:

  • Patient assessment
  • Heart Attack and Angina
  • How to use the AED
  • Stroke and TIA
  • Major Bleeding
  • Shock
  • Minor Tissue Injuries and Burns
  • Respiratory Emergencies: asthma, aspiration, hyperventilation & anaphylaxis
  • Head and spinal injuries, facial injuries, bone and joint injuries
  • Heat and cold related illness
  • Diabetic emergencies, poisoning, seizures & more

Date & Time: July 27 & 28 from 9:00am - 6:00pm

Cost: $193.92 + tax

Location: Pomeroy Sport Center, 2nd Floor Meeting Room

**IMPORTANT** Students should bring note taking materials, water bottle, sturdy shoes, non-restrictive clothing, & a lunch
