The City of Fort St. John is pleased to be hosting the 2010 Energy Conference beginning on October 12, 2010. The 2010 Energy Conference will feature a global perspective on energy issues and initiatives and includes presentations and panel discussions from key energy industry stakeholders, elected officials, government and local First Nations.

This event held annually in northeastern British Columbia presents amazing networking opportunities for all that attend. This year the conference Agenda will feature:

Tuesday, October 12
  • Pre-conference workshop: Oil & Gas 101 hosted by Northern Lights College and Sci-Tech North
  • Preconference workshop: Contract readiness training for contractors servicing the oil & gas industry. Hosted by C.A.P.P and presented by Meyers Norris Penny
Wednesday, October 13
  • 8:00 am - Breakfast | Community Welcome & First Nations Blessing
  • 9:00 am - BC Hydro - Their Part in the Provincial Energy Plan
  • 10:20 am - Opportunities for Natural Gas Growth in Northeastern BC
  • 11:10 am - Transition to Unconventional Gas
  • 12:00 om - Lunch | Keynote Address
  • 1:30 pm - "Let's do Coffee" Conversation Café - participate in targeted conversations on topics relevant to industry and community working together.
