The North Peace Leisure Pool is owned by the Peace River Regional District and operated by the City of Fort St. John.  It is located on 100th St next to the North Peace Arena.

The facility consists of a leisure pool and a 25 meter lap pool.  The Leisure pool has a zero beach at one end and a maximum depth of 1.5 meters (five feet) at the other end. It has waves, a rapid channel and spray and squirt features. Located adjacent to the leisure pool is a small bubble pool specifically designed for tots.
The lap pool has 6 lanes. The shallow end is 1 meter (3.6 feet) deep and 3.7 meters (12.1 feet) at the deep end. There is also a 3 meter and 1 meter dive platforms. Other amenities include sauna, steam room, whirlpool, water slide, family change rooms, cardio fitness room and a meeting room. An independently operated concession is also available.   The facility is fully accessible for people with limited mobility.

Program Registration Now ONLINE!

The City of Fort St John's Community Services Department is pleased to announce that we are switching to a new and improved Recreation Management Software System.  Activenet will provide members with a user-friendly, efficient and exciting new way to receive information regarding the North Peace Leisure Pool, the Enerplex, North Peace Arenas and recreation programs.  You can also register for swimming lessons and training opportunities plus purchase swimming and skating passes.

Users that log-in to the website and create an online profile, will periodically have exclusive opportunities like registration for swimming lessons that may be available to online users, early registrations and first to know information about upcoming recreation programs.

Baby and Me

Baby and Me is a fun, low impact aquatic class in which your baby is actively involved.  The class offers time to bond with your baby, improve your fitness level and model positive fitness behaviors to your child.  Babies are generally ready to start when they can hold their head up steadily, usually around 5 months old. Stay tuned for more details.
Cost: $5.50/session drop-in fee.



Preschool Play Day

Every Friday from 10:30 am - 12:00 noon bring your toddler and enjoy our playday program.  A lifeguard will lead you and your preschooler through actvities in the water.  It will include water games, songs, fun toys and so much more. General admission rates apply.

Themed Birthday Parties 

The North Peace Leisure Pool is excited to offer new themes for our Birthday Parties.  Planning a party just got easier. Search for treasure as a "Pirate", strut your stuff for "Fashion Show Frenzy"show off your talents in "Karaoke Krazy", demonstrate your mad skills guitar and dance in "Rockout or Bust It" or embrace your inner "Princess" and search for the family jewels.

Junior Lifeguard Club

Want to be in the Club?  The Junior Lifeguard Club at the North Peace Leisure Pool is perfect for youth ages 8-15.  Do you love to participate in aquatic games, go on field trips to learn about related careers, learn basic first aid skills and be challenged to learn lifesaving skills?  Then the Junior Lifeguard Club is for you!  You'll also be involved in fitness drills, water safety promotions, team building exercises and training for friendly competitions.  It's perfect preparation for youth interested in becoming fully qualified lifeguards.   To learn more visit the pool.

Cardio Fitness Room
New in 2006, the air conditioned Cardio Fitness room is available for drop-in use during regular hours of operation.  Included in the room are an elliptical trainer, recumbent bike, bike, treadmill, free weights and stability equipment such as a Bosu ball.  Must be 16 years of age and older. Participants 13-15 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. Children under 13 are prohibited from utilizing this facility.

Gift Certificates
The North Peace Leisure Pool offer gift certificates for any value. They make great stocking stuffers, birthday gifts, congratulations gifts and employee recognition items. You can use the gift certificates on merchandise such as swim suits, goggles and bathing caps. You can also apply the money towards courses such as the Red Cross swim lesson. Stop by the cashier's office at the pool or phone us for mail delivery.

Meeting Room Rentals
Do you need a location to host a small group?  The North Peace Leisure Pool meeting room can accommodate up to 60 people theatre style or 40 people in class room style setup.  We have a full selection of audio/visual equipment such as TV, VCR/DVD, white board, overhead projector and screen and flip charts.  It is the perfect place for small business, non-for-profit or casual meetings.
