The City of Fort St. John, in participation with the Peace River Regional District and the District of Taylor, has finished drafting the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. This plan will guide the City and the Region's investments in recreational infrastructure, parkland acquisition and parkland development for the next 15–20 years.
This plan is based on values and interests of the public, stakeholders, staff, and elected officials of the City and surrounding communities. The planning process featured extensive engagement with a wide range of consultation involving the key community engagement methods.
We’d like to thank all those who took part in the discussion on the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The consultation period for this project is now closed. All the feedback that we received will be taken into consideration and integrated in the final version of the plan.
The final version of the plan will be posted on our website soon!
