The City of Fort St. John is inviting information from parties interested in submitting a detailed proposal for the purchase and development of City Lands located at 100 ST and 100 AVE.
This vacant site was identified through preliminary downtown planning as an important land parcel and one of several key ‘catalyst’ projects for revitalization of the downtown core area. Based on objectives set out in the Official Community Plan and through consultation with Council, overall development goals were drafted and key aspects for the development of this site explored. This includes, appropriate and desired land use(s), general site layout, massing and amenities. In preparation for the sale of the site, the City also explored whether the desired development, based on the early site concept explorations and goals, can be achieved and were economically feasible in the context of current market conditions, City policy and framework.
